The film has been in preparation for the six months, its production budget reached more than ten million, Goo Jai for the film in particular grew a two-week beard and changed from his past handsome image. He however was still uncertain whether the director would accept this look.[...]

"These shoes are so uncomfortable, it´s like getting kicked in the nuts ... for the feet!"
In China, Alan Mak/Felix Chong’s Overheard and the new McDull movie both opened this past weekend. While both lost to Harry Potter, Overheard managed an impressive 35.3 million RMB (in perspective, Forever Enthralled opened with 42.2 million RMB, and Painted Skin opened with 40 million RMB, though both opened just before holiday periods)... http://www.lovehkfilm.com/blog/thegoldenrock/
Overheard receives welcome echo Production is underway on Overheard 2, a sequel to the cop thriller Overheard that was a hit for Alan Mak and Felix Chong. The high-concept thriller made $15.24 million ($2 million) in Hong Kong and a further RMB86.6 million ($13.2 million) in China in July 2009. The new film is again co-scripted and co-directed by regular collaborators Mak and Chong and produced by Derek Yee with all the locations in Hong Kong. It retains Lau Ching-wan, Daniel Wu and Louis Koo as the three stars from the first instalment, albeit in somewhat different roles. Lau plays a stock market investor who is being spied on by Wu's character. As a cop, Koo is on their trail. Production is again through Mak's Pop Movies with finance coming from both Bona Entertainment and Sil Metropole Organization, creating a Hong Kong-China co-production. The budget has climbed to just short of $8 million.
